Agriculture
The sector "Agriculture" provides information on land cover / land use and soils. Weather reports and forecasts deliver information on meteorological parameters essentially influencing the development of this sector. Agro-climatic purposes and risks are presented. Additionally support is given with corresponding services and links to respective institutions. Adaptation measures to climate variability and change are described with the intention to reduce the vulnerability of agriculture, as well as options to mitigate climate change by using the huge mitigation potential agriculture inherits. Main Green House Gas (GHG) emissions in the agricultural sector are methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O).
